Pocket Pet-Friendly Veterinarians

Pocket pets include rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, mice, and rats. Like all pets, they require commitment and responsibility. Most of these creatures need a cage, water bottle, food dish, toys, exercise wheel, and hiding house to keep them happy and healthy.

Comprehensive physical examinations are important to assess health and discuss weight and nutrition. Proper feeding is the best and easiest way to assure a long, healthy life. At Westside Pet Hospital, we perform surgical sterilization procedures if needed to reduce aggressiveness and control reproduction. Rabbits and guinea pigs in particular occasionally need dental care.

Like all animals, if you notice changes in weight, behavior, coat, eating, and digestion, it’s time to schedule an examination.
